Frederic Malle Monsieur by Bruno Jovanovic is something really special and one of the best ‘male’ fragrances I’ve worn in a very long time. It takes everything traditionally manly about fragrance and packages it with revamped style, elegance and luxury.
With over 50% distilled patchouli then top notes of mandarin orange and rum absolute; a heart cedar, suede and frankincense create a mystical aura and finally a base of brooding amber adds a touch of darkness. There’s also vanilla and musk curving the edges to create a truly cyclical and passionate fragrance.
It wears strong, but from one minute to the next completely transforms as different notes become prominent and center stage. It can even seem different from one day to the next.
