You may not have heard of Sampar before and if you’re in the UK, you may be forgiven for not doing, but I can exclusively tell you that they’ll be launching here in the UK this spring. Sampar is France’s biggest selling skincare company, their products are truly innovative, equally as outstanding and despite not featuring in the manliest of packaging, they should not be overlooked by anyone. I discovered the range in Sephora back in Summer when I was working in Barcelona and stupidly resisted buying anything from the collection at the time.

Sampar Glamour Shot is my favourite of their entire wardrobe, based both on my own experiences and on the feedback of my chosen testers. We’ve been using it for around 2 months and cannot see life without it. So what on earth is it? Glamour Shot is the world’s first transparent foundation and is applied quickly and easily over your daily moisturiser. What!? Yes, it’s transparent foundation, giving all the benefits of improved complexion, improved skin tone and reduction of wrinkles, pores and visible blemishes whilst delivering not a drop of colour, rendering this THE skin treatment product for men. Forget BB creams, they’re so 2012.

Through Sampar’s extensive testing, they found an 83% visible reduction in shine as well as fine lines and wrinkles, 91% immediately unified complexion, 91% smoothed wrinkles after 1 month usage, 91% lifted skin and 83% firmer face overall. So do the statistics really represent reality? I cannot stress enough from what we’ve seen that, YES, they certainly do. The product is pumped out of the tube as a light lotion-serum that you then apply as the last element of your skin regime, so after your moisuriser, or if you do wear BB or foundation for extra coverage, then over the top of that.

Immediately the skin looks more radiant and pores practically disappear. There are so many products similar to this out there but none are as intensely effective as this (believe me, I’m 100% not overselling this). Apply it over the whole face, avoiding the eye area (there’s a separate amazing product for eyes that I’ve reviewed here), and watch it get to work as over a period of about 60 seconds, the results intensify. Skin feels firmer, tighter and completely mattified but by no means dry. The mattification lasts all day as well which is no easy feat as like many, myself and a couple of my testers are prone to a very oily and shiny T-Zone.

The ingredients of Glamour Shot are fascinating, composed of HQA microlens, a new generation of soft focus molecules, reducing the appearance of pores, whilst smoothing and mattifying the skin. Oat extract then provides the immediate lifting effect. Encapsulated hyaluronic acid fills in wrinkles for a long-term effect whilst aiding in moisuture delivery as it’s a powerful humectant (moisture-binding agent). Finally, what Sampar calls an Urban Advance Complex, a powerful alliance of 3 active ingredients (shea butter serum, mint endorphin and probiotic sugar), act together as an anti-oxidant shield whilst strengthening the skin’s natural defenses and shocking the skin back to life on a cellular level.

We have all been noticing the treatment’s immediate effects as well as the effects promised over longer term, including increased surface hydration, reduced wrinkles (for those who had them) and a general increase in the skin’s firmness. It’s one of those products that no matter how much I write about it, you have to see it for yourself to believe it.

Sampar Glamour Shot is avilable for £34 from here at M&S Beauty Online or here at It’s worth every penny and my latest one has been on the go since October so it’s great value too!

Hi! I don’t see why not, it’s completely invisible so shouldn’t cause any discolouration.
