Lush Butterball Bath Bomb

There’s nothing un-manly about a bath, although I suppose that depends on how you do it. But every so often, a good soak is good for both the skin and for the soul. So what better way to pass the time in the tub than with a gorgeous bath bomb from Lush; it’s always my bath product of choice.

Excess heat on the skin can lead to dryness, therefore I’m a big advocate of not taking steaming hot showers all the time. But, when you do decide to turn up the heat, make sure you skin has every chance of staying hydrated; that’s why the high volume of cocoa butter in the Lush Butterball Bath Bomb soothes and calms the skin whilst you stew. There’s such a high concentration of cocoa butter that you can see some of it sat on the surface of the water in little pools of sweet goodness.

As you can imagine, the cocoa butter leaves it smelling very chocolatey; coupled with the vanilla oil extract, it’s beautifully sweet and a perfect replacement if you were ever a fan of the sugar-cubed, Ma Bar (they really need to bring that back).

If you love natural, you’re looking at the right product as you’ll find only 6 ingredients. Sodium bicarbonate (for the frizziness), citric acid, cocoa butter, synthetic musk (real musk is made from deer testicles), ylang ylang oil and perfume.

To use, fill the bath full of water and throw it in. Easy as that. You can watch it bubble, fizz and crackle away as you watch chunks of cocoa butter fall and melt into the bath water. The smell is incredible and the water gently clouds over. If you’re wanting an abundance of bubbles, check out Lush’s Bubble Bar range as the bath Bomb’s gently condition the water and are designed to deliver extreme softness and fragrance.

Check out the Lush Butterball Bath Bomb at £2.45 here from Lush Online or in-store. Lush products are incredibly fresh so I recommend using them within at least 2 weeks of purchasing, but if not, be sure to keep it cool (I have a box in the garage).

See, I’m normally a total shower person. I’m not one for just sitting there as I get so bored so easily but every now and then, I’ll sit and contemplate the world haha!
