I’ve long since been a fan of L’Occitane’s beautiful candles, for both their amazing scents and great transportable tins. They’ve released a new addition to the line called ‘Candle for Sight’, raising money for the Royal National Institute of Blind People, which will go towards its Training Grade Scheme, providing professional training to partially sighted people. This scheme is hugely important as 66% of blind and partially sighted people who are of working age are currently unemployed. The candle is £13 and ALL the proceeds are donated to the RNIB.
So what’s the candle like? Well firstly, don’t be put off by the very strong honey smell before you light it, it develops into something really special. It’s a lot deeper than simply honey however, exuding notes of vanilla and white chocolate, with an almost incense-like base supporting the beautifully delectable, honey scent.
This candle is soft, sheer and a gorgeous sensory experience plus the fact that 100% of the proceeds go to such an amazing cause makes it a perfect product.
