The Multi-Use Moisture Mask of Marvel
There have been a fair few moisture masks appear on the market over the past year or so, so what makes this any different? Easy. Its immediate results. I’ve never seen something inject moisture into the skin as quickly and effectively. The second answer would be the wide variety of applications; bearing in mind that with each, you don’t need to use much:
Use as a Nighttime Mask
After cleansing at night, apply an even layer to the skin which you’ll notice will sink in pretty quickly. You don’t need a visible slathering, particularly you’ll just waste the excess on your sheets. By morning my skin looks more even in colour but more importantly, throughout the next day my skin feels more comfortable and retains more hydration (I just look fresher!)
Use as a Daily Moisturiser
See, I don’t know why this isn’t in the instruction leaflet; GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment is truly excellent as a daily moisture booster – a bit like Clinique’s Moisture Surge treatment. It’s perfect for even the most oily skin types (as well as dry skin types obviously) it won’t leave you shiny and oily, but dewy, fresh and smooth.
Use as a Post-Shave Repair
After shaving, apply and gentle massage a slightly generous amount into the beard area to feel immediate comfort, reduced redness (seriously, it calms so well) and restored hydration from the abrasive results of a shave.
Use as In-Flight protection
This was a clever one they’ve popped into the instructions inside the box; using GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment to protect your skin from the horrendous ravishes of recirculating airplane air; which, I don’t know about you, leaves me with the most horrendous spots and gross feeling on the skin.
Applying a thin layer (it’s almost undetectable when on) you’ll rehydrate the skin whilst preventing dehydration and susceptibility to airborne nasties.
Use for The Ultimate Night In
GLAMGLOW have developed quite an extensive range of products over the last year or so, three of them being some of my all time favourite skincare products.

The Ingredients: What’s Inside GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD
I’ve attached a comprehensive list of all the ingredients at the bottom of this article for those that will inevitably request it (I love a good look through an ingredient list). But what are the main features? Words like Dewdration™, GreenEnergy™ and Botanimoist™ (almost choked laughing at that one) make my eyes roll, but there are actually fabulous ingredients behind these americanised trademarks.
Dewdration™ / Acid Hydration
Actually a combination of two of my favourite ingredients of all time, one in particular: citric acid and the heavenly hyaluronic acid. Citric acid brightens the skin by boosting exfoliation but also acts as a protective antioxidant. Hyaluronic acid then swoops in and bonds itself to the newly exposed skin cells, filling out intercellular spaces with oil-free moisture, locking everything in without leading to congestion and spots.
HydraPack™ / Long Term Hydration
The hydrating power of GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment comes mainly from the following ingredients: Apple extracts (increasingly popular in skincare these days) work to hydrate and further bond moisture to the skin, as well as oat extract (Sampar use this in most of their products, it’s a very smart hydrator) whilst HydraClay™ locks in moisture with it’s ability to carry it’s own weight many times in hydration. All of this works without heavy oils and remains suitable for all skin types.
GreenEnergy™ / Instant Hydration
These ingredients provide GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment’s immediate hydration with the previous working more towards long term benefits. These natural extracts include coconut oil, orange blossom honey and ginger root. Funnily enough, these seem to form the majority of the delicious, almost ice-cream-like fragrance (the only artificial fragrance is so far down on the ingredients list, it’s hardly worth bothering). They provide antioxidant benefits, surface hydration and calming comfort; coconut oil is probably my favourite extract and is a huge buzz ingredient at the moment for all the right reasons.
Teaoxi™ / Protecting Hydration
Finally, the feature ingredient that appears across the entire GLAMGLOW range, Teaoxi™ technology, composed of hydroxytyrosol – a potent antioxidant; oleuropein – an antioxidant and moisturiser; tyrosol – also an effective antioxidant. It’s a very high impact ingredient that’s one of the main contributing factors to the the instant brightening and clearing effects of GLAMGLOW products.

GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD: The Verdict
I’ve been looking forward to this since before Christmas after a meeting with a very heavily pregnant Natalie Roche & co who all shared their excitement over THIRSTYMUD. I was worried however that the final product might not live up to my massive expectations, but needless to say, it did.
I’ve been using it religiously, for all of the applications I’ve mentioned above (with the exception of the plane, I’m looking forward to trying that one). GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment feels smooth on the skin, sinks in without a trace and leaves the most incredibly dewy *pun alert* GLOW on the skin (it really does!). It wins the constant battle against my easily shaving-rash-prone skin, calming redness, preventing spots and restoring smoothness.
GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment alleviates dehydration without bombarding the skin full of fatty oils meaning it’s perfect for ALL skin types, even those that are acne prone; in fact I’d recommend this to calm blemish and acne irritation and damage – particularly with those undergoing treatment. Definitely a winner.
