Countdown to Christmas: Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac Eau De Parfum

With 11 weeks to go until Christmas and I’ve undoubtedly found my winter scent with Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac.

Launched 14 years ago in 2000 and created by Lyn Harris herself (who I believe has now left the Miller Harris London brand) it’s Christmas in a bottle; warm, smooth, spicy, sweet, aromatic and masculine.

The of composition of Feuilles de Tabac

Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac is comprised of tobacco leaves; spicy pimento berries; Malaysian patchouli; pine tree needles, tonka bean, sage and cuban cascarilla oil.

The defined pyramid is a refreshingly wintery top blend of pine needles, sage and bergamot; a heart of the cascarilla oil and pimento berries with a base of patchouli, tonka beans and tabacco leaf.

Feuilles de Tabac in action

It starts as a crack of sweet and vanillary tonka followed hand in hand by patchouli. Sharper top notes of pimento then emerge whilst the pine needles and sage crescendo upwards, surrounding the sweetness of tonka in their wake; pulsing and heating whilst never being too dark.

Feuilles de Tabac definitely lasts and simmers down to an all-day long powdery finish. It’s comforting and warming; spray it on the collar of your winter jacket or better yet, your thick, woollen scarf.

Where to buy Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac

With an RRP of £65 for 50ml and £95 for 100ml, Feuilles de Tabac is available here from John Lewis with free delivery as well as here from Cult Beauty at the same price also with free delivery.

A Christmas winter wonderland for the home

For me and I’m for sure many others, patchouli and pine needles encapsulate Christmas alongside clove, cinnamon and orange oils. As far as scents for the home that will compliment Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac, I’ve gathered a couple of my favourites.

Crabtree & Evelyn Noël

Miller Harris Feuilles de Tabac immediately struck me as a wearable Crabtree & Evelyn Noël, undeniably so – a classic winter scent with evergreens, balsam, orange, cinnamon and star anise.

It’s available in a candles, sprays and oils from £9 here at Crabtree & Evelyn.

The White Company Winter

Obsessed. With sweet cinnamon, clove and a dash of fresh orange; I’ve been burning this fragrance oil at home for years.

It’s perfect for the bedroom or even the kitchen as it’s not overtly deep but distinctly seasonal. Check out Winter here from The White Company.
