Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels

These cruelty free, under-eye stress relief patches from Skyn Iceland are just what the doctor ordered for your recent times of stress. I have to say, they’ve helped me enormously as when you’re meeting people who expect you to be the epitome of calmness, skin radiance and health, they do wonders in relieving my tired, dark and puffy eyes.

“How do they work?” I hear you ask! Well they use Hexapeptide Technology, specifically Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, which after a little research I discovered is a substrate of good-old Botox. Skyn claims that muscles under the skin are more calmed after use, which I’m sceptical of, but have so far I have been impressed by the results.

The gel patches are easy to apply, your bag contains 8 smaller sealed bags of a patches. Open them up, peel them away and place them on your eye area. They attach firmly with a powerfully chilly feel. Leave them on for 10-15 minutes and then just peel them away. You’ll notice that your eyes immediately look brighter and feel incredibly smooth. The thing I love the most is that the effects last for a couple of days. As with most products, the more often you use these (once a week is recommended) the longer the effects will last and at £25 for 2 months worth, it’s a pretty good arrangement.

The results are quite interesting indeed. Firstly, don’t apply them onto warm, freshly cleansed skin as for some bizarre reason, and this may just be me, they left a slight red mark for an hour or so, no stinging sensation, but just a little redness. I found applying them on an evening before washing and going to bed was the best time to use them.

If you like the sound of these, you can pick them up exclusively from M&S beauty for £25 for a pack of 8 pairs which should last you around 2 months.
