Shiseido Active Energizing Concentrate

This wasn’t my discovery unfortunately, I found this in Shortlist a fab free paper I picked up whilst in Manchester.

The Shiseido Active Energizing Concentrate is an anti-ageing serum targets fibroblast cells which are responsible for the production of elastin, collagen and hyaluronic acid.

They’re saying the turnaround on this product is about two weeks, but I’m sceptical that a serum could provide age reducing benefits that quickly, but we shall see.

It also aims to reduce dullness, visible pores and excess oil.

I’ve not been able to get hold of an ingredients list yet, but I’m thinking that as well as targeting the top half of the skin, on the surface it probably uses some sort of silicone beads. These are used in loads of anti-oil / pore-reducing / wrinkle-filing products, as they don’t congest the skin, but sit in grooves and cracks giving a filled appearance. Products like Clinique’s Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector (my favourite!) uses this kind of technology and I think an old YSL product had this as well.

The launch date is this month but not certain when, I’ll update when I get some more information.
