I’ve accidentally been sitting on this one for a while. When MR PORTER launched their fabulous Men’s Grooming department, they sent me out a lovely box filled with all sorts of grooming goodies and for one reason or another, I forgot all about it. Before coming out to Barcelona I came across the box and found this, the Aesop Moroccan Neroli Post-Shave Lotion, so threw it in my hand luggage and brought it out to test.
Well, it’s totally bodacious… and I don’t quote Bill & Ted nearly often enough. With the feature ingredients: Moroccan Neroli Orange Blossom oil to calm irritated skin; Panthenol to both soften and hydrate the skin’s surface and promote healthy/well conditioned facial hair and finally Australian Sandalwood conditions the skin whilst providing a gorgeous aroma.
You’ll also find blemish fighting Witch Hazel; moisturising Shea butter and Olive oil; Patchouli, Clove and Ginger oil also help to hydrate and calm the skin whilst adding to the warm and woody fragrance.
Initially it feels rich and as if it’s going to be too heavy but after a few seconds of quick and easy massage, it sinks in like a dream leaving the skin soft, moisturised, calmed and without a trace of product on the skin. I’ve actually been using this in favour of my beloved Clinique For Men Post Shave Healer which, if you’re a regular reader of Manface, you’ll know what a big deal that is!
