It’s that time of year again and I have some treats for you. Normally most brands will take a selection of their most fabulous and loving products and box them in Valentine’s Day packaging, but Lush have really excelled in the love arena this year. Love Locket Bath Bomb £6.95
Love Locket is the last of my Lush Ltd lovelies, loaded with florally sweet vanilla absolute, neroli oil and jasmine absolute.
I see so many YouTube videos of Lush bath bombs and I think that’s a shame, it just totally spoils the surprise, and Love Locket is worth the wait. All I’ll tell you is that it’s hearts within hearts within hearts, and Lush say you can either get one magnificent bath-time payout or split it into three (one half at a time of the outer shell and then the whole surprise inside). If you order anything from Lush this Valentine’s Day, this is the one to have in your basket.
Prince Charming Shower Gel £4.65
Ridicule is nothing to be scared of. To me this is very similar to Happy Hippy Shower Gel, except with a more berry-like aroma rather than citrus.
Marshmallow root and vanilla pod give a sweetly smooth and calming base, whilst pomegranate juice gives you an energising and cleansing zing. On top of that there’s a little sandalwood, geranium and grapefruit, which helps to give it a slight edge and stops it becoming too intense on the sweet front.
The lather is beautiful and it’s just such a gorgeous wash, perfect for both him and her.
Toucan Love Gift £10.95
There are three gorgeous gift boxes with a selection of brand new and existing treats. My two favourite boxes are Toucan Love and Neon Love. The Toucan Love gift, priced at a mere £10.95, contains two heart-shaped delights in the form of Tisty Toasty, a bath bomb studded with Damask rose buds and fragranced with orris root, Damask rose oil, lemon oil and jasmine absolute.
Then there’s the Close To You massage bar. I was surprised to find it packaged in plastic, but then read the label pointing out that the wrapper was 100% cellulose, a totally natural and biodegradable product. Close To You, inspired by the Jammie Dodger, is fragranced with beautiful Fair Trade vanilla absolute as well as a touch of sugary sweetness, plus it’s packed full of cupuaçu butter, shea butter and olive oil.
Neon Love Gift £17.95
The Neon Love gift is slightly bigger than Toucan Love, priced at £17.95, and contains four weekend wonders designed for the romantic getaway this Valentine’s Day. Firstly there’s Red FUN, a shapeable, mouldable clay that washes hair, body and clothes using gentle, natural cleansers, so you can leave a special message in the bath or shower. Then Turkish Delight Shower Smoothie, a creamy body cleanser that hydrates with the power of cocoa butter and almond oil without leaving you greasy, and smelling of delicious Damask rose.
Love Soap is fresh and fruity, giving a beautiful feeling of non-drying clean, with cinnamon leaf oil, bergamot and rosewood blended into fresh figs, passion fruit juice and soya yoghurt. It’s really stunning.
