Shiseido Pureness Matifying Moisturiser Oil-Free

I’ve actually been using this for around 2 months now and was sent it after attending the launch of Shiseido at Harvey Nichols and had a full skin consultation from their head of education, Victoria. I have an oily combination skin-type – my t-zone is slightly oily and my cheeks are fairly normal, so I tend to need mattifying hydration from my moisturiser. The Shiseido Pureness Matifying Moisturiser Oil-Free has given me just that!

It’s a very lightweight lotion that’s dispensed from the pump sat on top of a solid, frosted glass bottle. The lotion is is very delicate in texture and sinks in like a dream. It immediately hydrates your skin, leaving it smooth and fresh. It then mattes down any excess oil and keeps you protected through the day. Hydro-Balancing Complex is the active technology in the product and is made up of Palo Azul extracts helping to condition and mattify the skin.

So, after 2 months, what were the results? Firstly, my skin seems to be plumper and brighter in complexion, whilst the t-zone seems to produce slightly less oil than it did before. I’m finding that because my skin is more effectively hydrated, black heads are forming less than they usually do as skin cells aren’t dying and collapsing into the pores as easily – this to do with the increase of locked in hydration. So you want to know what moisturiser I use daily? This! I absolutely love it. You can pick it up for here from John Lewis and here from House of Fraser.

Great review! I can’t believe I’ve only just found your blog! I use Shiseido too.

My skin is oily and I wanted some oil free moisturizer but all I got was fake promises in fancy packets except http://www.dermology.us/. Especially my t-zone is excessively greasy. I hope this one is not the same like all the other products.
