After discovering the existence of these wonderful products from the Nuxe line, courtesy of TwoBeautyBags, I rushed to the beautiful, new Marks & Spencer beauty hall in Manchester, where you can find every delight from the Nuxe range.
I suffer with the most appalling eczema of the lips so lip balms are something that I really take a lot of time and care over choosing, and I’m the harshest critic.
The Lip nourishing stick, tested in the most extreme and cold conditions in Canada, provides deep, soothing protection for day to day use. It smells of the most deliciously sweet Lemon Curd; containing precious Sunflower and Macadamia Nut Oils, Barley Extract, Argan Oil, Shea Butter, Honey and a Vitamin E derivative. It smooths onto the lips leaving no shine and build up.
There was only one problem, well, it wasn’t even a problem, I think I was just being over cautious – the balm is shaped in a classic lipstick wedged point, and as the lip balm is fairly hard before you get it going, it drags the whole stick about slightly, and I was worried of it coming away from it’s base, to combat this, I’ve just been wearing it down from the very top.
It lasts a good while and it’s not a lip balm you need to re-apply every 30 minutes. One application should leave you smooth and deliciously sweet for hours!
I completely agree with the TwoBeautyBags description of this, it’s definitely more of a night treatment, being not as absorbent, and richly dense. I use this thick, waxy, smooth balm just before going to bed and apply a thick layering on both the lip and on the lip line.
You awake with your lips unbelievable smooth and soft, and after using this for a week or so, I’m finding I don’t have to apply as much lip balm through the day, therefore, this is clearly causing my lips to retain more moisture. Hurrah! With Honey, Plant Oils, Shea Butter, Grapefruit Essence, it has the same Lemon Curd fragrance as the stick and smells just great.
