Well overdue and apologies that even though this has been sat in my pile for a couple of months, I’ve omitted to share it with you.
Part of La Collection de Grasse, you may remember my interview with the collection’s creator Karine Dubreuil who sneaked a clue that for Christmas 2013, there’d be a targeted men’s range within the collection – well, here it is!
Cèdre & Oranger is very L’Occitane, breaking away from traditional men’s scents whilst still drawing on their influences. This is an old cologne for a younger man; energetic, sexy and an instant classic.
With top notes of orange, bergamot and pine needles; a fresh heart of red berries, cardamom and Virginian ceder; finally a base of vetiver and musk. As Cèdre & Oranger starts to change and work its magic, the Virginian ceder and Italian orange essence really do take effect, propped up by a crushed rubbing of pine needles and cardamom.
The collection is aimed at men and therefore includes three manly ancillary products: the aftershave balm, enriched with glycerin and shea butter; the shower gel, silky and abundant in lather; finally a perfumed soap bar delivers a lathering shot of Cèdre & Oranger to your daily shower and is great as a hand soap.
L’Occitane Cèdre & Oranger Eau De Toilette is priced competitively at £49 and is available in-store and here online. But, for just an extra £16 you can pick up the Cèdre & Oranger gift box which includes all full sizes of the Eau De Toilette, shower gel and aftershave balm; you could even buy it for yourself, your secret’ll remain safe with me.
