DKNY Be Delicious MEN

DKNY Be Delicious 1

I LOVE Be Delicious and with a limited edition for women launched almost every year, I’m heartbroken that it seems almost impossible to find the men’s version any more.

Launched in 2005 by Aramis (who do all Donna Karen’s fragrances) when I was 14, massively into my JPOP era and all about fun, bright fragrances that I could wear for school without resorting to Lynx.

On top of that, although there was no link, my favourite JPOP artist of all time, Ayumi Hamasaki, launched the song Bold & Delicious in the same year and filmed in New York; so there was no way I wasn’t wearing this fragrance every minute of every day!

DKNY Be Delicious MEN isn’t the most complex or the most subtle or the most refined; but it’s fun! With feature notes of Apple, Coffee, Grapefruit and Juniper Berry; there is nothing that cheers me up more or makes me feel like I could walk a catwalk at 7.30 in the morning. There’s also gentle sea notes, jasmine and soft woods and reminds me just a little of Clinique Happy for Men.

I luckily managed to find a bottle of this last week at a local discount cosmetics shop. They had a single 30ml hidden at the bottom of the shelf that I spotted as I was paying and had to do everything to stop myself from launching over the counter. It was the best £17 I have ever spent.

Sadly, none of the larger stores stock Be Delicious MEN and it seems to have disappeared completely from the DKNY official websites (UK & US) who only show the original DKNY Men fragrance. Please bring it back DNKY/Aramis!
