REN Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser

Ren Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser

REN Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser is an awesome product – so much so, Liz Earle is probably unconscious on a bathroom floor somewhere out of sheer shock that her beloved has some tough competition. This is good, really good.

For all skin types, this two-phase cleanser is loaded with Rosa Centifolia with skin conditioning, soothing and decongesting Vitamin P. Cocoa seed butter, a non-comodogenic skin soother and barrier protecting moisturiser nourishes the skin whilst the Hot Cloth Cleanser gets to work. Finally Damask Rose Petals calm the skin, reduce redness and sooth environmental damage.

If you’re a normal/combination skin type like me, there’s something that feels a little naughty about applying this product. I know that anything with a creamy and rich texture will usually break me out like a bad ass, but REN Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser is definitely the exception.

To use, massage the Hot Cloth Cleanser into the skin to start the breakdown of debris and grime, preferably on skin that’s dry and a little warm (in the shower is best); this is when the active ingredients get to work. Then wet the towel under hot water, wring it out until there’s almost no moisture left and then begin to gently but firmly buff the skin in rounded circular motions being particularly careful over the eye area.

Afterwards your skin feels and looks insane. I was genuinely expecting it to be a) greasy and icky (dermatological term meaning eww) or b) red and dry.  Well the answer is neither as my face looked smooth, dewy but mattified, hydrated but not saturated and very even and balanced in colour.

Criticisms? Just one; the cloth is crap. It’s just a bit of a cheap, limp flannel. REN Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser definitely works much better with proper muslin cloths which you can pick up here from The Body Shop for £2.50 each.

I’m going to be mean to you now, I’ve been using a lab sample as the product won’t be available until February, but that’s only 4 weeks away and it’ll give you chance to use up your existing cleanser. REN Rosa Centifolia Hot Cloth Cleanser will be available here from REN and will be £16.
