Refinery Shave Foam Gel

The Refinery Shave Gel 3 Blog Size

Shave creams, soaps that need brushes, oils etc, stick ’em up your butt, I don’t have time. On a morning, when I’m half awake, grumpy and impatient, I don’t have time to make shaving a leisurely experience, with cut-throat razors and an armoury of tools and gadgetry. For me, it needs to be quick and effective but there’s no reason that this shouldn’t be a luxurious experience.

So I always revert to shaving foam gels, they’re softening, quick, full of lather and stick to the skin, but sometimes lacking in that extra luxury.

You may have read my review of the eye gel from The Refinery, well this is part of the same collection, all lovingly produced by Aromatherapy Associates. The Shave Foam Gel comes in the same neutral, understating packaging that I just love, it’s so tactile and looks stunning in any bathroom.

Now the scent is just to die for, spicy clove and fresh peppermint. It spouts from the canister as an amber gel that immediately begins to erupt into an abundance of silky, rich foam. It adheres to the skin with ease and as you begin to massage in, hair is immediately softened, lifted and primed. I know I’ve already mentioned but that fragrance! My gosh! This is what makes it a truly luxury experience.

Washed off, skin is left tingly, soft and cleansed. Aloe Vera acts as a coolant, anti-inflammatory and moisturiser plus it’s completely alcohol and SLS free which otherwise can lead to dryness and possible irritation.

At £14 this is great value and Refinery Shave Foam Gel is available here, direct from Brummells of London.
