I make no bones about the fact that I love Biotherm Homme T-Pur. The products are potent but absolutely excellent for those oilier and blemish prone skin types that are also a little sensitive. Now I’ll be open and honest and this product does contain alcohol but on my awesomely reactive skin it feels soft, cool and calmed.

Biotherm Homme T-Pur SOS Corrective has a bit of a daft name because to me, SOS Corrective, makes it sound like a product that you only need use now and then whereas in actual fact you can use this every day until the day you die.

It’s a lightweight, fragrance free, gel/water texture that sinks into the skin like a snap. It leaves no trace on the surface and actually leaves skin ultra-matt. Usually a mattifying product means only one thing, silicon, but you’ll find none here; not a bean!

“What’s in it!?” I hear you roar. Well you’ll find the skin conditioning and anti-oxidant properties of Vitamin E; the exfoliating powers of Salicylic Acid, helping to prevent pore blockages throughout the day; Ginger, or to give it its fun chemical name, ZINGIBER officinale (say it a few times, it’s fun); Zinc gluconate, an effective acne treatment that kills the p.Acne bacteria; finally liquorice extract helps to brighten the skin and reduce the appearance of dead blemishes.

I will add that as well as oiliness and blemishes, if you have concerns with dehydration too, you may want to add another oil-free moisturiser in there or something like Hydraluron just to boost your water levels. Remember even the oiliest skin can be massively dehydrated.

The last thing that’s worth a big mention is that it works as an antiperspirant for the face, helping to prevent sweat during the day. I mean it’s not 100% but I did see that a fair few times when my forehead gets a bit sweaty (normally when I’m stressed and/or angry) it was a little drier than normal.
