You may already know that I’m a big Moroccanoil fan already and think the oil itself is amazing, perfect for my oil-prone hair, giving great shine and nourishment but without leaving it lank and flat. I love it.

So, you can imagine how excited I was for Fabriah.com to send me out the Moroccanoil Shampoo and Moroccanoil Conditioner to try out. The two come in 250ml bottles and are loaded with the sweet-smelling goodness of argan oil, providing great nourishment and added oomph to lifeless hair.

Moroccanoil Extra Volume SHAMPOO

I know the packaging isn’t at all important, but I do have to comment on how beautifully striking the aqua blue and bright orange really are, very Moroccan indeed and it looks great in my bathroom.

Filled with argan oil, keratin, fatty acids, proteins, and other nutrient whilst being completely free from sulphates,[/one_half][one_half_last]phosphates and paraben, it foams up into a deliciously thick and creamy lather and gets to work, effectively but gently cleaning my hair of grease, product and gunk.

It doesn’t leave your hair feeling dry or squeaky as some shampoos can, but deeply cleansed and well hydrated. I have actually found that I don’t need to apply the conditioner all the time, this is mainly because I have short hair and as I mentioned, it’s prone to a having a little extra oil.[/one_half_last]

Moroccanoil Extra Volume CONDITIONER

With the absolute true fragrance of the original Moroccanoil, with a little added creaminess, this smells good enough to eat. I will stress that you need only the tiniest amount if you have short hair, around the size of a ten pence piece should do it. I’ve opted personally not to use this every single day as I worry that it may be a little rich, but bear in mind that it is designed for very damaged hair, so I tend to use it when I’ve been hammering the GHD’s a little.

It’s not a foaming conditioner, so as you work it in, it feels as if it completely disappears, but[/one_half][one_half_last]don’t worry, and don’t add in any more! Work it in and leave it for a few minutes, and then just rinse it out, you’ll then be blow away with how your hair is left beautifully soft and silky, but again, not heavy and lank. Once you’ve dried your hair off, particularly if you use a hairdryer, you’ll notice the amazing volume that you’ve been left with, seriously, my hair was piled high, it really does what is says on the tin (well, plastic bottle).

I will also add that these products have been designed to work particularly well with coloured hair, another known hair damager, so if you really want to preserve your colour that little bit longer, you’re looking at your solution.[/one_half_last]

Conclusion

I would recommend this, if like me, you use electrical hair products like hairdryers and straightening irons, because as amazing as the results are, they completely zap moisture from the hair and if not treated properly, can leave it like straw. Even if you are prone to slightly oilier hair than I am, it’s still a perfect companion to give a little extra, let’s say, jajoom, back into your hair (maybe let’s not say that).
