So here we are, Manface is now 2 years old and it’s time for the next wave.
Over the last year I have been aware of how increasingly gender neutral the website has become. A concern that struck me after talking with people online, a few friends and one very prolific beauty blogger, is that Manface hasn’t been speaking to guys as well as it should.
The mission of my blog was to be able to bring other men into the beauty fold, through the use of plain english, and targeting concerns that are relevant to the modern man. I want to explain why men can use beauty products that aren’t stamped with ‘For Men’ but to also encourage the use of those extra-special ‘For Men’ products that exist out there. Somewhere I feel this all got a little bit lost.
Not only a new logo (try refreshing the page and see what happens) but Manface will now feature more tutorials and product application/usage tips, plain English and an explanation of beauty jargon through tooltips, as well as looking at new launches in the men’s world that strive to make the male grooming sector a more progressive industry. The whole site has been re-organised and every post re-categorised to allow you to find answers to your concerns much quicker than before.
As well as blog posts from me, an industry hardened, Level 3 Beauty Therapist, I will also be bringing blog posts in from other great bloggers and writers I’ve met over the last two years, who all share real specialisms in areas such as fragrance, natural/organic beauty and even makeup (trust me, you’ll love it).
For the many, incredible wives and girlfriends who read this site, the Manface WAGS if you will, who come to find tips for their respective partners, I will be giving you shopping lists and best-buy product ideas that won’t be left abandoned in bathroom cabinets, but will stop him from thieving your beauty goodies!
So let me know. What do you want to see on Manface? Do you want to contribute? Do you have a reader question you’d like to be anonymously published and answered? Let me know either below or click here to email me and follow me on Google+/Twitter.
