Sofitel Marrakech Palais Imperial Spa & Lounge

On arrival to Marrakech, once clearing the really quirky little airport, we were whisked away to the Sofitel in Marrakech. We were greeted by the manager and shown around the location. There are actually two hotels here, which are joined together; there’s the Palais Imperial and then the Lounge & Spa. The Palais appeared to be geared more for luxury business travel as opposed to the Lounge and Spa hotel, dedicated to relaxing you to within an inch of your life. I have to say that both hotels are stunning and every attention has been paid to its own respective details. Each hotel has its own unique fragrance that travels with you throughout the rooms and the hallways; the Palais was mint and the Spa & Lounge was Orange Blossom, this gave the whole experience an extra sensory dimension.

Sofitel London Heathrow

A few weeks ago I was invited by Sofitel, the French luxury hotel chain to travel to Morocco and experience their hotel in Essaouira. I travelled via their Hotels in Heathrow Terminal 5 and Marrakech. My reason for staying at Heathrow is that the flights to Morocco, the main destination, were at seven in the morning and there was no way I would have been able to get from Manchester to Heathrow comfortably on the day. Therefore, Sofitel offered to put me up at their Heathrow destination.

Grooming News Agents in Manchester

It’s something that I’ve always passed but never until recently paid that much attention to, a news agents at the Town Hall end of Cross Street in Manchester city centre. It’s a normal news agents pretty much, however the whole of the front window has been dedicated to some pretty special traditional men’s grooming products, with a huge selection of pure badger hair shaving brushes, old shaving foam blocks with wooden bowls as well as traditional soaps, colognes and a good selection of cut throats.
