Clinique Turnaround Overnight Radiance Moisturiser

This is the new product from Clinique’s continually impressive lineup, that I was lucky enough to attend the launch of in London.

Now one of the UK’s top 10 beauty concerns is dullness, and one of the main causes of this, amongst other things, is UV damage from our friend the sun. So some rather clever boffins at Clinique decided to create something truly magnificent! The Turnaround Overnight Radiance Moisturiser.

It claims to improve radiance and clarity by the next morning, leaving you with softer, smoother bright skin, and overtime leaving your skin stronger with an improved texture.

I have to say, I was sceptical of the “by the next morning” claims, as it normally takes my skin a while to see much of a change at all, but as a true follower, I did my evening 3-Step and applied it over the top. The moisturiser sank in like a dream, and even though it was over the top of my Anti-Blemish Solutions moisturiser (or over your dramatically different lotion or gel if you use a conventional 3-Step), it didn’t leave my skin feeling tacky or filled with product, but in fact, very well hydrated as it feels very light.

So I went to bed. I can’t really review how it felt to wear it over a prolonged period of time because I was well, unconscious. I woke up the next morning, and when I realised who and where I was, I immediately felt my face, and it definitely felt smoother. I pessimistically dragged myself to the mirror, honestly expecting very little immediate effect, but my god, what a result. My skin was definitely more radiant and it looked smoother as well, and had a dewy glow, that it really doesn’t get until after I’ve had a wash and a go on my 7 Day Scrub.

I’ve only been using it 3 days now but I’m a total convert. I did like the Turnaround Concentrate serum but because I want to use my Even Better Clinical Dark Spot Corrector and  Pore Refining Solutions Correcting Serum, it was all becoming a little bit too much to be honest, not that it felt heavy, but that my hands were getting tired by the time I’d finished, and with this, that you only apply at night, you need not use the Turnaround serum.

With my one or two ‘dead’ spots, that always end up flaking and staying read for aaaaaages, they are reducing more quickly, presumably because my skin cell turnover is starting to speed up, so newer healthier skin can breathe a little and take charge.

There are some brilliant ingredients in there, including my old favourite, Salicylic Acid, as well as Acetyl Glucosamine (Exfoliates), Chestnut extract (Exfoliates), Trehalose (Hydrates) and Hydroxyethyl Urea (Hydrates), to name a few.

All I can say is that you need to get this! You need this in your life. It’s available at John Lewis for just £34.
